Hey there! Welcome to Boxy!
I’m the creative brain behind it all, and I know you’re probably thinking, “Who is this person?” So, let me give you a quick rundown—no fancy talk, just the real me.
I’m 30 years old, a single mom to an 8-year-old boy named Iker, who’s not only my everything but let’s be honest, he’s the real CEO of Boxy!
I’m originally from Venezuela, but about seven years ago, I arrived in Spain with nothing but a suitcase full of dreams. I had to leave my job as a educational psychologist (yes, that’s me—an expert in special needs with over ten years of experience), but when I landed in Spain, I took on a corporate role. While I enjoyed it and learned a lot, something was missing. I realized that I missed my true passion: education. I wanted to blend learning and fun in a way that was unique and exciting.
That’s when the lightbulb moment struck—Aprender sí que mola in Spain (“Learning is Fun”) was born!
This little family project turned into something big. Every BoxyBox is packed with games, fun, and learning, and it’s been an incredible journey watching how these boxes make a real difference for kids.
The best part? My family is right here with me.
Iker’s our chief tester—he’s got the final say on every activity! My dad Roberto, or “Grandpa” of the company, brings his wisdom, and my mom, Yayi, is the fastest Velcro-sticker and cutter around.
I handle the fun part—making sure every box meets the unique needs of each child.
My brother Fabio is our finance guy (or, as he’d say, the one trying "not" to spend all the money!). Even our dog, Pepa, lends her paw of approval!
As time went on, I realized these boxes weren’t just fun for kids—they were making teaching easier for parents and even teachers! Kids were learning without even realizing it. That’s when I knew we had to spread the magic even further. And so, the Boxy adventure went global!
But I couldn’t do this alone! My cousins, Mikel and Ashley, shared my vision and jumped right in with scissors, glue, and creativity to bring Boxy to the U.S. Because let’s face it, the States needed their BoxyBoxes too!
Oops, I get a little carried away when I’m excited! Long story short—if you’re tired of the same old boring books and want something that makes learning fun, you need a BOXYBOX! From the moment you open it, you’ll see that LEARNING can be fun!
